Agricultural Tour An optional Maine Agricultural Tour is available on Monday, August 20 from 7:45am to 5:00pm featuring some of Maine's finest enterprises. Tour registration is $30 ($40 after July 28); lunch and refreshments will be served. If you are interested in participating, please sign-up using your registration form. The Agricultural Tour includes five stops in four towns: Gray, Maine - A wild blueberry production site. Jordan's Farm - Jordan's Farm is located on 130 rolling acres, overlooking the Spurwink River in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The farm, owned and operated by Bill Jordan for over 50 years, continues operation with his children and grandchildren. Maxwell's Farm - The Maxwell family has been involved in vegetable growing in Cape Elizabeth, Maine for 6 generations. Their Cape Elizabeth strawberry production site overlooks the Atlantic Ocean; the land is valued well over $50,000 per acre. Cold River Vodka Distillery - A potato value-added production facility in Freeport, Maine. The only vodka distillery in the country that oversees its entire production – from planting potato seed to bottling vodka. Pineland Farms - Located in the rolling hills of New Gloucester, Maine, Pineland Farms is a 5,000-acre working farm, diverse business campus and educational and recreational venue that welcomes visitors to enjoy its beautiful rural landscape. |
